What are driving directions to the center
-From Augusta and points north: take route 202 west towards Lewiston. in Winthrop, take a right onto route 133 north towards Wayne. In Wayne, take a left onto route 219. After crossing the bridge into Turner, take a left onto N. River Road. The MOWC is at the end of this road.
-From Auburn and points south: take route 4 North to Turner. Take a right onto route 219 towards Wayne/Winthrop. About a 1/2 mile after the route 117 intersection, take a right onto Hammond Rd. At the stop sign, take a right onto N. River Road. The MOWC is at the end of this road.
Are there any fees to use the center?
At the moment the center is set up on a donation-based usage. When you arrive you’ll see a self check-in area where you can donate and sign in.
Can I volunteer for the center?
Yes! email admin@maineoutdoorwellnesscenter.org for opportunities to volunteer and sign up for our newsletter to get regular updates.
Do you have equipment?
We do have some items available. Nothing formal or too fancy. A few pairs of boots, skis, poles, and snowshoes.
